Our Services

Counseling Services

MCYP’s team of licensed/waivered therapists provide a variety of comprehensive mental health services supporting children and youth ages 0-25 and their families throughout Mendocino County. Therapy services are provided in office, in the community, on school sites (when available), and through telehealth, as needed. MCYP has office locations in both Ukiah and Fort Bragg.

Services include:

  • biopsychosocial mental health assessment and plan development of mental health goals

  • individual and family therapy

  • crisis intervention

  • individual and group rehab

  • sessions supporting caregivers

  • case management collaboration with other providers and/or caregivers

Therapy services provided by Mendocino County Youth Project are Medi-Cal eligible and grant-funded through various victim service grants supporting the mental health and wellness of children, youth and families.

All services provided by Mendocino County Youth Project are free of charge to program participants.

Youth Services Program (YSP)

Youth Services Program (YSP) provides paraprofessional supportive services through a variety of high-quality activities and services to children, youth, and families throughout Mendocino County. All services provided by Mendocino County Youth Project are free of charge to program participants.

YSP Services

    Youth Success Coaching

    Paraprofessional supportive services provided by highly trained professionals with supports geared towards maximizing youth’s potential and success. Services are provided in schools, community, MCYP Drop-In Center and by telehealth as needed. Services include life skill training, positive youth development, prevention & early intervention educational groups and presentations, substance use disorder treatment, mental health awareness & stigma reduction, anger management, social emotional learning, provision of basic needs such as food, hygiene products, transportation support, a youth-friendly clothing closet, crisis intervention with 24/7 crisis line, linkage/referral and connection to other community supports & services.

    Housing Support

    MCYP provides both emergency and long-term transitional housing services as well as financial assistance and rapid rehousing service for Transitional Age Youth 18 – 24, additional short term respite care for youth 12-18.

    Supervised Visitation Services

    In partnership with Mendocino County Superior Court, and under California Family Code 3200.5, MCYP provides Supervised Visitation Services within Judicial Council of California Standards of Practice 5.20.

    The goal of MCYP Supervised Visitation Program is to provide secure monitored visitation services, supporting safe and healthy interactions, positive parenting practices and education necessary for non-custodial parents to build a healthy and safe relationship with their children. All supervised visitation services are free of charge to program participants and must be court ordered.
